Temperatures in the UK are set to drop nearly 10C this bank holiday weekend following a record warm start to May, with highs of 29.3C recently recorded in Kew Gardens. The Met Office forecasts a decline from 22C on Saturday to 16C on Sunday and 15C on Monday, driven by northerly winds bringing cooler conditions and cloud cover, particularly in eastern areas. This weather shift follows the UK’s sunniest April on record and a significant increase in wildfires, with 439 reported so far this year.
