Merck Foundation marks International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women through their “Our Africa” TV Program, Songs, Children storybooks and Animation Films

Merck Foundation, in collaboration with The First Ladies of Africa and Asia, commemorates the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women 2024 through their “More Than a Mother” Campaign and “Educating Linda” program, addressing Gender Based Violence, empowering women and girls, and supporting girl education. Senator Dr. Rasha Kelej, CEO of Merck Foundation, emphasizes the importance of education in women’s empowerment and the organization’s efforts to raise awareness through their pan African TV program “Our Africa” and various initiatives like children’s storybooks and inspiring songs. Merck Foundation also launches children’s storybooks and animation films to raise awareness on Gender Based Violence and support girl education, along with releasing songs to promote women empowerment and girl education.
