MEPs have adopted a resolution condemning China’s military provocations against Taiwan and rejecting any unilateral changes to the Taiwan Strait status-quo. The resolution calls on China to adhere to international rules and supports Taiwan’s participation in key international organizations, urging the UN to grant Taiwanese nationals access. European lawmakers emphasize Taiwan as a key democratic partner in the Indo-Pacific region and warn against any attempts to alter the status quo through force or coercion, with support also coming from the European Conservatives and Reformists group.
