Men brought £280,000 of heroin into UK in pressure cooker

Three men, Abid Iqbal, Fasheeh Ahmed, and Muhammad Awais, were arrested for smuggling 1.5kg of heroin worth £280,000 into the UK, hidden inside a pressure cooker. Following a customs interception on July 24, 2023, Iqbal and Awais were convicted in absentia and sentenced to 11 years in prison, while police uncovered additional drugs and cash linked to the operation.
