Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin is not concerned about urging Kysaiah Pickett to dial back his aggressive play, despite another incident that may attract the match review panel’s attention. Pickett made contact with Jake Soligo’s head during the Demons’ recent win over Adelaide, potentially putting his availability for the next game against Brisbane at the MCG in jeopardy.

Last year, Pickett received suspensions for similar actions, but Goodwin believes that Pickett has adjusted his game and no longer engages in such behavior regularly. Goodwin acknowledged that the recent incident will be reviewed and assessed accordingly.

Despite the potential suspension looming over Pickett, the Demons have had a successful run, securing wins over Power and Crows with a short turnaround spent in Adelaide. Goodwin commended the team’s efforts and their ability to maintain defensive pressure, emphasizing the need for continued growth and improvement in their game.
