Mel Stride has been eliminated from the Tory leadership race after coming last in a ballot of Conservative MPs. The remaining candidates, including Jenrick, Badenoch, Tugendhat, and Cleverly, will now move on to the Tory conference in Birmingham to make their case to succeed Rishi Sunak as leader. Jenrick received the most votes in the latest ballot with 33, followed by Badenoch with 28, and Tugendhat and Cleverly tied at 21 votes each.
