Mel Gibson Aims To Shoot ‘The Resurrection Of The Christ’ Next Year

Mel Gibson revealed on Joe Rogan’s podcast that he plans to start production on a sequel to “The Passion of the Christ” titled “The Resurrection of the Christ” next year, co-written with his brother and Randall Wallace. The film will focus on Jesus Christ’s resurrection and will feature Jim Caviezel reprising his role as Jesus, with Gibson considering CGI de-aging techniques. Describing the project as ambitious, Gibson aims to explore themes from the fall of the angels to the death of the last apostle, acknowledging the challenges ahead but expressing determination to take on the task.
