Football Australia has unveiled new playing kits designed by First Nations artist Reko Rennie in collaboration with Nike, to be worn by all national teams, including the Matildas and Socceroos. The ‘Forever Forging Forward’ collection showcases Rennie’s bold linework and chevron patterns, representing Australia’s multiculturalism and honoring First Nations culture. Indigenous football figures have praised the design for its inclusivity and recognition of Indigenous heritage, with the kits set to be worn in upcoming tournaments, including the AFC Women’s Asian Cup and AFC Asian Qualifiers.
