McDonald’s ‘sustainable’ move is ruining drinks, customers complain

Former McDonald’s corporate chef Mike Haracz revealed that the fast food chain has replaced its iconic white straws with more sustainable red and yellow striped ones, leading to complaints about their flimsiness and impact on beverage taste. Haracz and other customers are dissatisfied with the new straws, which break easily and alter the flavor of drinks, while some in Canada, Europe, and Australia prefer them over paper straws provided at McDonald’s in those regions.
