A large fire engulfed a three-story mansion in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C., on Tuesday morning, following a separate fire at the same property the previous night due to an electrical issue. The unoccupied building, which was undergoing renovations and had recently been purchased for $8.575 million, prompted evacuations and a two-alarm response involving approximately 100 firefighters and 20 vehicles. Fortunately, while one firefighter sustained minor injuries after falling into an elevator shaft, no other injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
