‘Mass grave’: Medics appeal for aid at last working hospital in Syria’s Sweida

The last operational hospital in Sweida, Syria, is overwhelmed as it faces a surge of violence between Druze fighters and local Bedouin tribes, resulting in over 400 bodies arriving since Monday, with deceased individuals now lining the streets. Medical staff, severely under-resourced and lacking basic necessities, are struggling to care for the wounded amidst accusations of government abuses and a rising death toll nearing 600, prompting calls from the UN for investigations into the violence.

Explain It To Me Like I’m 5: In a hospital in a city called Sweida, there are so many people who have sadly passed away that there isn’t enough room for them, and the doctors and nurses are really trying to help the people who are still hurt, but they are very overwhelmed and don’t have enough supplies.
