A Mano River Union (MRU) delegation visited the Busia One Stop Border Post in Kenya and Uganda, learning about efficient cross-border trade systems benefiting women traders. The delegation, led by the African Development Bank, observed how the border post has improved trade efficiency and economic empowerment for women through collaboration, infrastructure, and inclusive policies. The visit was part of the Bank’s BI-BEST project, empowering women traders in Liberia and Sierra Leone to participate in cross-border value chains for economic growth and social cohesion.
