A woman who claims to have been abused by Jihad Al-Shamie, the attacker of a Manchester synagogue, described a controlling and violent four-month relationship with him, during which he stalked her and lied about his age and family. Despite her attempts to escape and move away, she feared retaliation and did not report his abuse; Al-Shamie was shot dead by police after the attack that resulted in two fatalities.
