A man became trapped under a train armrest for 90 minutes while searching for his headphones on a German Westfalenbahn service at Lehrte station near Hannover. Fire crews used a hydraulic rescue device to saw through the armrest and removed a luggage rack and seat to free him, while onlookers attempted to film the rescue, prompting a gold sheet to be draped over the train window. After the man was rescued, he was treated on-site, and his AirPods were found between the seat and the train’s side panel.
