A 42-year-old man from Niagara Falls miraculously survived after driving his 2008 Toyota Tundra over a cliff and into Niagara Falls Gorge in New York. The man was able to get out of the badly damaged truck and walk out of the gorge on his own, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident with assistance from the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office, while New York State Parks officials are working on safely removing the truck from the gorge.

Columbia University student among 5 victims identified in deadly New York tour bus crash
Five individuals were killed in a tour bus crash in western New York, identified as Shankar Kumar Jha, Pinki Changrani, Xie Hongzhuo, Zhang Xiaolan, and Jian Mingli. The bus, carrying 54 passengers, lost control and tipped over, injuring many, with 14 still hospitalized; authorities believe the driver, Bin Shao, became distracted but showed no signs of impairment.
