Man killed in LaPorte County house fire – NBC Chicago

One person, identified as 64-year-old Ronald Conrad, died in a house fire in LaPorte County, Indiana on Sunday morning. Deputies from the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire at 7:06 a.m. in the 200 block of South Longshore Drive, but were unable to enter the house initially due to excessive smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the tragic incident.
