A man has been charged with the murder of Denis Donaldson, a former Sinn Fein official shot dead in County Donegal in April 2006. Antoin Duffy, in his 40s and with no fixed address, also faces charges related to the attempted murder of another man in 2007 and possession of a shotgun and ammunition. Duffy was extradited from Scotland and appeared in Dublin’s Special Criminal Court, where he was remanded in custody until his next appearance on April 13.
