Man dead after being crushed by wind turbine in Rokewood, Victoria

A worker at the Golden Plains Wind Farm in Rokewood, Victoria, was crushed by a fan blade of a wind turbine and died at the scene despite first responders’ attempts to revive him. The site, owned by Vestas, will be closed as the company investigates the incident, with WorkSafe also conducting an investigation. The incident occurred about 133 kilometers west of Melbourne, near Geelong, with aerial images showing a large area cordoned off with police tape.
