A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a car struck and killed a 47-year-old man in Liverpool around 11:45 pm on Friday on Stonyhurst Road, Woolton.

The victim succumbed to his injuries despite efforts from bystanders and paramedics. Merseyside Police have initiated an investigation, appealing for witnesses or CCTV footage, and have confirmed the arrest of a 41-year-old man from Liverpool at the scene.
