66-Year-Old Man Dies from Head Injury After Pub Incident

A 66-year-old man, David Darke, died six days after being punched outside The Crown Inn pub in Appleby Magna on December 21. Following his death in the hospital, Leicestershire police have launched a murder investigation, re-arresting a 36-year-old suspect initially held for grievous bodily harm. Detectives are continuing their inquiries, examining CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the police.
