Malaysia Airlines has been ordered by a Beijing court to pay over £300,000 to the families of eight passengers on missing flight MH370, declared legally dead. The compensation, 2.9m yuan (£307,571) per family, covers funeral expenses and emotional distress damages. A further 23 cases are pending, with searches for the plane set to resume on 30 December. Despite theories and debris findings, investigators are yet to determine what happened to the plane carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew.
