Macquarie Investment Management to Fully Repay Shield Investors

Macquarie Investment Management has committed to repay $321 million to Australians who invested in the failed Shield Master Fund, admitting to breaches of the Corporations Act. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has initiated legal action against Macquarie, which has agreed to enhance its investment governance and will not face civil penalties due to its cooperation.
