Lunar Lake’s integrated DRAM won’t happen again, Intel CEO says

Intel’s upcoming mobile processor, Lunar Lake, will feature integrated memory within the package, a departure from traditional design. Despite initially being a niche product, Lunar Lake’s significance has increased due to the growth of AI PCs and NPUs. However, Intel plans to return to a more traditional design approach for future processors like Panther Lake and Nova Lake, focusing on off-package memory and in-house manufacturing to improve margins.
