Lucy Letby, Britain’s most prolific child killer, lost her bid to appeal her latest conviction for the attempted murder of a baby girl known as Child K. Despite arguing that the retrial should not have proceeded due to media bias, three senior judges upheld the trial judge’s decision that she would receive a fair second trial. Letby, a former neonatal nurse, is already serving 14 whole life orders for the murders of seven babies and the attempted murders of seven others at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
