Why did you decide to start playing premier netball again? I’ve been playing netball since I was 7, but I was inspired to get back into it after playing in a Coast radio charity game and got roped in by former Silver Fern Leonie Leaver, who created a new club called Swish. I thought it would be a great social opportunity and a chance to get competitive exercise every week. I love that it’s fast, physical and requires quick decision-making.
How does the social side of exercise keep you motivated? Enjoying exercise is everything for me. It has to enrich my life, and I don’t want it to feel like a chore. Also, when you’re in a team, you can’t pike!
