French President Emmanuel Macron presented renovation plans for the Louvre, including a new entrance and a dedicated room for the Mona Lisa. The project, named Louvre Nouvelle Renaissance, aims to modernize the museum due to overcrowding, security needs, and climate change. The renovations are expected to take nearly a decade and could cost up to 800 million euros. The Louvre, designed for 4 million visitors annually, now sees around 9 million visitors per year. The new grand entrance will be created at the Colonnade de Perrault by 2031.
