The Los Angeles Kings have acquired forward Nikita Alexandrov from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Akil Thomas. Alexandrov, 25, will start with the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ AHL affiliate, after a successful season with the Springfield Thunderbirds, where he scored 14 points in 18 games. Over his AHL career, he has amassed 143 points in 188 games and has had limited NHL experience with nine points in 51 games. His two-way play style and potential for development may provide the Kings with a reliable option as they struggle offensively this season.
