A fire broke out at the Chiltern Firehouse, a luxury hotel in central London popular among celebrities, prompting the London Fire Brigade to dispatch 20 fire engines and 125 firefighters to the scene just before 3pm on Friday. Footage on social media showed firefighters battling a large blaze in the Grade II-listed hotel, which was packed with customers ahead of Valentine’s Day service. Around 100 people were evacuated, and the cause of the fire, which started in ducting leading to the roof, is currently unknown.
