Lithium call on reopening Greenbushes railway line still months away

A decision on reopening the 82km railway spur line between Greenbushes and Bunbury, aimed at reducing truck traffic from lithium concentrate transport, has been delayed until possibly 2026. Talison Lithium, in collaboration with the State Government and Arc Infrastructure, is evaluating a feasibility study while addressing community concerns over noise and safety associated with increased rail activity.
