Ligue 1 derby halted after assistant referee hit by projectile

The Ligue 1 derby between Saint-Etienne and Lyon was interrupted just before half-time when assistant referee Mehdi Rahmouni was struck by a projectile from the crowd. Referee Francois Letexier ordered the match to be halted, with officials meeting to decide on resuming play or abandoning the game. Saint-Etienne was leading 1-0 due to a goal from Lucas Stassin, while Lyon fans were banned from attending, and the club faced potential sanctions for recent crowd behavior, including heavy pyrotechnic use.
