Mark Carney’s Liberals are leading Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives by four points ahead of Monday’s election, with 43% of respondents preferring the Liberals compared to 39% for the Conservatives, according to the final Postmedia-Leger poll. Carney is viewed as the best prime minister by 40% of voters, outperforming Poilievre, particularly among older demographics and some NDP and Bloc voters. The NDP and Bloc Québécois trail significantly at 7% and 5%, respectively, as both parties seek to position themselves as essential for holding a potential Carney-led government accountable.
