A criminal investigation has prompted Du Val receivers PwC to request an interview with founders Charlotte and Kenyon Clarke, who have asserted their right to remain silent, as noted by their lawyer in the Court of Appeal. PwC counters that they have legitimate questions regarding the use of recently discovered deposits. The Clarkes are appealing a High Court ruling requiring them to discuss their financial affairs. Du Val, a property development group, collapsed in August 2024, owing approximately $268 million.
