Carl Warwick, a six-year Major League veteran who played a key role in the 1964 World Series, has passed away at 88, according to baseball historian Ed Wheatley. Warwick played for multiple teams from 1961-66, including the St. Louis Cardinals where he came off the bench four times in the 1964 World Series and tied a record with three hits. Primarily an outfielder, Warwick had a career batting average of .248 with 31 home runs and 149 RBIs.
