The Liberal government is expressing support for a Conservative bill proposed by MP Dan Albas, which aims to allow Canada Post to ship alcohol across provincial borders directly to consumers. This legislation seeks to eliminate existing barriers that complicate interprovincial alcohol sales, enabling producers to reach customers nationwide. Interprovincial Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc acknowledged the proposal’s potential and committed to discussing it with provincial ministers at an upcoming meeting.
