A trial program aiding over 100,000 individuals in escaping violent relationships, the Leaving Violence Program, will become permanent, offering up to $5,000 in financial support for those planning to leave or who have recently left such situations. Social Services Minister Tanya Plibersek emphasized that economic insecurity often hinders leaving abusive partners, and new funding will enhance support for victims.
