Maxime Tessier, the lawyer who defended notorious paedophile Joel Le Scouarnec, has died in an apparent suicide, according to prosecutors. Le Scouarnec, dubbed ‘the devil in a white coat,’ was convicted of raping hundreds of patients, including children as young as four, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison after a lengthy investigation revealed extensive abuse.
