Lawsuit by New Orleans truck attack victims says city, contractors failed to implement safety system

Six individuals injured and the father of a man killed in the New Year’s truck attack are suing the City of New Orleans and two contractors for allegedly failing to protect revelers from an Army veteran who drove through a police blockade on Bourbon Street. The lawsuit claims negligence on the part of the city and contractors for not adequately securing the area, resulting in the tragic incident. The plaintiffs seek justice for the harm caused by the attack and demand accountability from those responsible for ensuring public safety.
