In an entertaining 1-1 draw, Osasuna defender Jorge Herrando scored the first goal of the La Liga season for his team, only to have it cancelled out by a late penalty for Leganes. Despite dominating much of the match, Osasuna missed several chances to secure the win, allowing Leganes to equalize with a late penalty from Dani Raba. The result saw Osasuna move up to 13th place in the standings, while Leganes closed the gap to Alaves in the relegation battle.
