During a St. Patrick’s Day roadside RIDE program in LaSalle, law enforcement stopped over 1,656 vehicles and administered 28 roadside tests in Windsor, LaSalle, and Amherstburg. Windsor police found no impaired drivers out of the approximately 1,100 vehicles checked, while LaSalle police charged one driver with impaired driving out of the 556 vehicles checked, resulting in a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. Windsor police thanked everyone for drinking responsibly on St. Patrick’s Day in a social media statement.
