Over 140 participants took part in LaSalle’s first Polar Plunge, raising over $51,000 for Special Olympics. LaSalle Mayor Crystal Meloche and Police Chief Michael Pearce were among the brave jumpers, with fundraising exceeding the initial goal of $10,000. The 11th annual Windsor-Essex Polar Plunge is set for Feb. 28, with a fundraising goal of $80,000 to support Special Olympics athletes in Ontario.
