College football’s strangest saga of the season is finally over.
Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin has announced he will take the same position with the LSU Tigers, leaving the seventh-ranked team mid-playoff run. Kiffin cited a desire to finish the season with Ole Miss but accepted the LSU job after the firing of Brian Kelly. Defensive coordinator Pete Golding has been named the new head coach of Ole Miss.
