Landfill search for remains of 2 First Nations women cost $18M, fraction of original estimate: Kinew

A search of a landfill near Winnipeg for the remains of two First Nations women murdered by a serial killer in 2022 was completed at a cost of approximately $18 million, according to Manitoba’s premier. This amount is significantly lower than the initial high-end estimates for the project.
