Lana Del Rey’s tour manager reportedly abandoned her just weeks before Coachella, leaving her in a tough spot!
If you’ve been on social media, you might have caught glimpses of the incredible Coachella performance by the Born To Die singer on Friday. She put on a mesmerizing show, singing a mix of new and old songs from her extensive catalog… And the stage setup? Absolutely stunning! But all this was achieved without the help of her former tour manager!

On Instagram on Tuesday, the 38-year-old shared a series of pictures from her performance, starting with a photo of her and Billie Eilish, who made a surprise appearance on stage for a few duets. She also posted pictures with collaborators Jon Batiste and Jack Antonoff, her backup dancers, and others. In a lengthy post, she expressed gratitude to all of them, even mentioning how she got laryngitis from practicing with her band in a “40 degree warehouse” for months!
However, when it came to acknowledging her tour manager, she revealed that a new manager had to step in after her previous one, with whom she had worked for 15 years, “quit for no reason.” She wrote bitterly:
“Thanks to Emily for taking over as tour manager when Pete abruptly quit after 15 years for no apparent reason, claiming he was more of a stage designer than a tour manager, just because I received 10 free bikes from Wally. ”
Seems like there was some drama there! She continued:
“Never received a call and probably never will. Still thankful for the 15 years though.”
Oh my… What a sour ending for the two! The artist from the West Coast sarcastically added:
“No problem — 37 days was more than enough time to put together a complete headlining set on our own. Not stressful at all. Great job, Emily, you absolutely nailed it with grace.”
You rock, Emily! After reading this, we definitely wouldn’t want to be on Lana’s bad side! Check out her full post below:
