Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has implemented a curfew from 8pm Tuesday to 6am Wednesday for a one-square-mile area of downtown Los Angeles, in response to protests against President Trump’s immigration policies. The decision follows significant vandalism and looting, with 23 businesses reported as looted, prompting Bass to advise those not living or working in the area to avoid it. She emphasized that the curfew affects only a small part of the city, which is otherwise not experiencing widespread unrest.
