Daniel McGuire, a Woodland Hills man, was found guilty by a jury of assaulting street vendors Jonathan Alvarez and Tomas Leocadio, who sustained emotional distress and violent acts at his hands. McGuire, who targeted the vendors between February and August, must compensate the victims a total of over $2.8 million for their financial losses and suffering. Alvarez and Leocadio, who relied on their fruit stands for income, were subjected to McGuire’s violent behavior and racist language during his “reign of terror”.
