Army Cpl. Albert J. Estrada, a 17-year-old soldier killed in the Korean War, has been accounted for 75 years after going missing during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir in December 1950. He was part of a U.N. force that faced overwhelming Chinese and North Korean troops in harsh conditions; Estrada was reported missing on December 6, 1950, and a presumptive finding of death was issued in 1953. His remains were identified among the thousands returned by North Korea, and his family has long advocated for his identification, reflecting the ongoing efforts to account for missing personnel from the war.
