Kon Kritikos death: Jury out in murder trial of daughter-in-law Danielle Birchall trial

A jury has begun deliberations in the trial of Danielle Lee Birchall, accused of murdering her father-in-law, Kon Kritikos, who died after being found critically injured in his home in Melbourne in 2020. Prosecutors claim Birchall attacked Kritikos to rob him for money, allegedly driven by financial difficulties and drug addiction. The defence argues that the case against Birchall is based on lies by her partner, George Kritikos, who they claim is trying to shift blame onto her.
