Kolkata junior doctors announce partial withdrawal of strike, to resume emergency services from Saturday

Trainee doctors in Kolkata protested outside Swasthya Bhawan over the RG Kar hospital rape and murder case, agreeing to partially lift their strike and resume emergency and essential services in state-run hospitals from Saturday after the West Bengal government accepted most of their demands. The medics, protesting for 41 days, will not provide services to the outpatient departments (OPD) across government facilities.
