Counter-terrorism police are reviewing footage from Northern Irish rap trio Kneecap, which allegedly includes calls for violence against British MPs. The video, from a November 2023 concert, features a member stating, “The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP,” while another performance showed support for Hamas and Hezbollah, both banned in the UK. Following backlash, including calls for the band’s work visas to be revoked, Kneecap claims to be facing a coordinated smear campaign and has received severe death threats since their controversial statements at Coachella.
