King Charles and Queen Camilla pay recovering Pope Francis surprise visit | Pope Francis

During their state visit to Italy, King Charles and Queen Camilla made a surprise private visit to Pope Francis, who is recovering from pneumonia, at his residence in Vatican City. The pope extended his best wishes to the royal couple on their 20th wedding anniversary, while they expressed hopes for his speedy recovery. Earlier, Charles addressed the Italian parliament, showcasing his Italian language skills, and the couple also met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni before attending a state banquet hosted by President Sergio Mattarella.
